There will be three kid and family friendly rides at Patapsco Trail Fest!

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!

The Pickall Area of PVSP is heavily forested with steep grades and access to the Patapsco river. Please be prepared to supervise your children, during events and throughout the weekend.

We want the kids and parents to have a great time on the trails!

Please be aware: The trail system at Patapsco is comprised of difficult trails on steep terrain, with rocks, roots and exposure. While the distances may seem manageable, the trails are advanced trails that will undoubtably prove a big effort to most, if not all riders.

Trail Fest is a family event. Playgrounds, forest, moon bounce, REI sMORE’s party, hikes, runs, rides – it will be fun. – Parents, please note the kid’s rides are on very difficult terrain, off road, rocky, rooty, singletrack, natural surface trail. It has hills, varying uneven surfaces, and small stream crossings. It will be fun, there will be tears, be prepared to express lots of love and encouragement. The trail is not recommended for kids in child seats on the back of your bike or riding with training wheels. While the distances may seem short, these trails are VERY difficult. Each of our kids ride leaders are experienced and will be making the call during the ride about ride length, and may potentially modify the route. Our #1 focus for the kid’s rides is fun and safety.
